REPORT

MOLANDS Molands has been in terrific form this week with lots of F1s and carp showing all around the pool. Every match has seen lots of ton catches and pleasure anglers are enjoying really good sport as well. The F1s are coming shallow with pellet waggler or long pole with caster or pellet accounting for fish to 7lb. The carp are being caught on maggot or waggler/bomb and 8mm pellet to the island. Best pegs have been 8 – 10, 15, 19, 21, 27, 33, 41 – 45 and 52.

GEARYS Pleasure and match catches in excess of 100lb taken this week but Gearys is still a little patchy in regards to carp fishing. Fish to nearly 20lb were caught and bomb with big pellet, pellet waggler or a method feeder with wafter have been the best approaches. Decent nets of skimmers to be had, particularly along the high bank with bags to around 50lb coming to pole fished corn or expander pellet.

LITTLE GEARYS Best form of the year so far with nets to over 200lb coming out. F1s from
2 – 4lb are making up the bulk of catches but some good carp also showing with fish to over 15lb weighed during matches this week. Shallow pole with caster is the top tactic but pellet feeder across to the island, pellet waggler and meat fished down the margins have also scored well this week.

GRATUITIES Sport has improved all round with good nets of carp coming to shallow tactics such as pellet, wafter or jigger on the pole. Mixed nets of crucians, skimmers, tench and carp are coming to long pole with caster or expander pellet fished over micros.

WILLOW Picked up this week with lots of F1s and carp in the 2 – 4lb range coming out. Pellet waggler to the island, down the margins with corn or paste and long pole shallow with pellet have all worked well on Willow this week.

ANNIVERSARIES Not in the best form this week with catches to around 50lb and it has been patchy on areas. Shallow pellet is accounting for the better nets with pegs 2 – 6 and 17 – 23 producing the more consistent sport.

SIBLINGS A Still a little up and down with anglers having a fish every drop one day then fishing hard the next. Pole fished pellet or caster fished to the middle has been the most consistent approach with dobbed corn or meat along the far bank picking off the better fish.

SIBLINGS B Lots of F1s in the 8oz – 2lb range coming out to pole fished paste or pellet. Some better carp coming to corn fished across to the far bank and lots of ide being caught on shallow maggot.
