REPORT

MOLANDS A week of spring like weather saw some big catches caught from Molands this week topped by Lee Richards 148lb net from peg 60 consisting of carp to 14lb and F1s to 5lb, all caught on pole fished pellet at 11 metres. The fishing has been good all around the pool with good nets of F1s and carp coming to a variety of tactics including method/pellet feeder, waggler/ pellet or long pole with maggot/pellet.

GEARYS Pleasure anglers are reporting nets to around 70lb consisting mainly of carp to double figures and skimmers. The biggest carp reported was a 19lb fish caught from peg 31 on a white boilie. Best tactics are method/hybrid feeder with wafter/dead reds or pellet on the hook and long pole with banded hard pellet. Top pegs have been 9 – 13, 18 – 23 and 31 – 33.

LITTLE GEARYS The bottom end of the pool from Pegs 13 round to 25 has been the most consistent area and nets of F1s to 70lb+ have been caught from these pegs. Long pole with pellet or maggot has been the top tactic but a shallow approach is starting to catch as well.

GRATUITIES Plenty of silver fish are being caught with roach, skimmers and perch coming to float fished maggot. The carp are all shallow with dobbing bread, waggler with punched bread and pellet waggler accounting for fish to 10lb.

ANNIVERSARIES Fished well through the week with pegs 2, 6, 10, 16 – 19 and 23 all producing good nets of carp and F1s with pole and pellet, maggot or maggot feeder working best. Some decent carp are coming to method feeder along the far bank at the top end with fish to 18lb caught this weekend.

SIBLINGS A In good form with decent mixed nets of carp, F1s, ide ad skimmers being caught on pole and pellet/maggot and most pegs are fishing well at the moment.

SIBLINGS B Nets of F1s to 100lb have been caught this week with the fish feeding well all around the pool. The bigger catches are coming to those who get them feeding first pellet or maggot.

WILLOW Good sport to be had on a variety of methods, long pole with pellet on the deck or shallow, waggler with bread or pellet and down the edges with corn or bread have all worked well this week.
