REPORT

MOLANDS Generally fishing well with nets to over 100lb caught in matches with some cracking carp and F1s being caught. Top tactics have been method feeder fished across to the island with waggler, dead maggot or pellet on the hook, pole and pellet fished from five meters out to 16 meters and F1s to 6lb coming to this. Later in the day, fishing down the edges with corn or maggot is working well. Best areas have been 2, 10 – 15, 29, 43 – 48 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS In cracking form through the week with nets of carp to 150lb+ caught by pleasure anglers with fish to nearly 20lb included. Straight lead with pellet or boilies, method feeder with wafter/dead reds and pellet feeder have all been working well and with some pegs fished down the margins with pellet or corn also doing the business.

LITTLE GEARYS Very consistent this week with excellent catches from all around the pool. Carp to double figures and F1s to 4lb are making up the catches. Best approach is pole with pellet at 10 – 16 meters coming in close as the day goes on with the fish now feeding well down the margins in the afternoon. Method feeder, pellet feeder and bomb and pellet are also worth a try.

GRATUITIES Carp have been feeding high up in the water with fish into double figures coming to pellet waggler or surface fished baits. Nice mixed nets of carp, tench, crucians and skimmers being caught on pole with expander pellet over micros or caster over ground bait.

WILLOW Plenty of carp in the 2 – 6lb range being caught fishing tight up to the island or down the margins later in the day. The F1s are starting to show shallow with jigger rigs and ‘slapping’ beginning to work well.

SIBLINGS A Weights to around 60lb have been best in matches but pleasure anglers reporting bigger catches. Carp, F1s, and ide have been providing the action with pole fished hard pellet working best but maggot, caster and worm also catching.

SIBLINGS B In good form with lots of F1s being caught from most pegs. The end of the pool is still the best area though. Pole fished pellet or maggot, either down the middle or fished against the far bank working well.

ANNIVERSARIES Fish seem to be more spread around the pool offering consistent sport with F1s showing all over and nets to around 70lb were best last week. Pole fished pellet, caster or maggot have all been catching fishing over micros or on the wider pegs, a small pellet feeder or method feeder has been catching.
