REPORT

MOLANDS Colder weather saw sport drop a little this week but F1s, roach and skimmers were still feeding and nets to around 40lb were best. Long pole with maggot, expander pellet and maggot feeder have been the top tactics this week.

GEARYS Despite the much colder weather some decent carp up to 18lb were caught along with good mixed nets of carp and skimmers. The bigger carp have come to bomb with boilies/pellets and the method feeder with wafter on the hook. Pole fished maggot over ground bait has been best for mixed nets.

LITTLE GEARYS Pegs along both straights from 7 – 15 and 25 – 30 have been the most consistent with F1s to 4lb showing well to either the maggot feeder fished down the middle or long pole and maggot.

SIBLINGS A Dobbing bread or soft pellet along the island is the best way to catch carp with fish to 10lb coming to this tactic. F1s, ide, skimmers and carp also being caught on pellet or maggot fished down the middle.

SIBLINGS B The pegs at the top of the pool from 7 – 11 have been best and catches of F1s to 50lb have been caught from this area. Dobbing bread across is catching the odd decent carp as well.

GRATUITIES Carp are being caught from pegs 13, 15 and 16 with a small pellet feeder and wafter fished to the island catching fish from 2 – 6lb. Plenty of silvers are coming to maggot, caster or pinkies fished over ground bait.

WILLOW Still a little tricky at the moment with pegs 1 – 3 providing the best catches. Carp and F1s to 3lb have been coming from this area by fishing across to the middle island with a small pellet feeder or waggler with corn or bread.
