FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The F1s have still completely switched off and those fishing for carp in matches and pleasure anglers have enjoyed the best of the action. In the matches, fishing tight up to the island with a method feeder or bomb and pellet has been the top tactic but mugging fish on the pole has also been working. Pleasure anglers fishing off the top have caught well with fish to nearly 20lb reported this week.

GEARYS Slight improvement with match and pleasure nets to 100lb caught this week. The carp are starting to feed better down the edges later in the day and pole with worm, paste or pellet has accounted for fish to double figures. Pleasure anglers have caught fish to 20lb on boilies fished out to the middle stumps or to the islands at the top end.

LITTLE GEARYS Still most consistent of all the pools with F1s and carp being caught from all around the pool. Carp from 6 – 12lb are coming to pellet waggler or down the inside on worm or meat. Good nets of F1s are being caught on pole and paste, long pole with pellet shallow and a small method or pellet feeder fished tight across to the island.

ANNIVERSARIES Very up and down this week, fishing well one day and difficult the next. F1s have made up the better catches with fish from 1 – 4lb being caught on pellet, caster or maggot, starting on the bottom but catching shallower as you go into sessions. Carp to double figures are being caught by mugging or on the bomb and pellet.

WILLOW Decent sport being had on Willow with plenty of carp from 4 – 10lb and the odd bigger samples and F1s from 2 – 4lb. Shallow pole with pellet or caster is the top tactic but various methods are accounting for fish including waggler or feeder to the island, down the margins with paste and pellet fished on the deck.

SIBLINGS A Catches to around 50lb best made up of carp and F1s from 2 – 5lb along with ide and some decent sized skimmers. Long pole up to the island with banded hard pellet/corn or down the margins with paste, corn or pellet have been the best tactics.

SIBLINGS B Decent sport to be had from most pegs with F1s from 2lb and carp, ide and skimmers coming to pellet or caster fished shallow or short at five metres. Fishing down the edges later in the day is also working well.

GRATUITIES Fishing hard at the moment for carp but silvers are showing well around the pool with skimmers, crucians, roach and some nice sized perch being caught on caster or maggot
