FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The much warmer weather has seen a lot of fish coming up in the water with shallow tactics starting to work with waggler or pole combined with pellets working well. Meat down the margins has also caught a lot of carp and f1s later in the day. The biggest carp reported this week was a 24-6 mirror from peg 2 and there were a couple of other 20s that fell to floaters fished on the top. .The best pegs have been 1-15 and 43-60

GEARYS Carp anglers have reported catches of up to 20 fish including lots of doubles and the odd fish to just over 20lbs with tuna /fish flavoured boilies out to the middle stumps or close to the islands best. There were fished weighed in during matches to 20lb and nets to 100lbs with method feeder with wafters or dead maggot, bomb with big pellets and pole with hard pellet all doing well. The top pegs have been from 18 to 31 with the shallower water in best form

LITTLE GEARYS The top end of the pool has been best with pegs 1-11 and 25-30 producing the most consistent form. Meat has been the top bait fished short at 4m or down the margins with waggler /bomb and 6mm pellets also worth a go..

ANNIVERSARIES Match and pleasure catches to 60lb were caught and the pool has been showing consistent form from most areas. Pole fished caster, pellet or meat is catching f1s from 1-4lbs carp to 10lb and plenty of sivers including Ide to nearly 2lbs

GRATUITIES Carp to 15lb have been caught off the top on floaters and bomb with 8mm pellet fished to the island. The margin sport on the corner pegs has been really good with worm or meat catching lots of carp and f1s. For those that like the silver fish nets to 25lb of nice sized roach and skimmers are being caugfht on maggot or caster

WILLOW Pegs 1-6 have been the best pegs with anglers catching carp to double figures and f1s to 5lb in nets to 70lb +. Shallow pole with pellet and waggler with pellet have been the outstanding tactics but anglers have caught on most methods.

SIBLINGS A Fished much better this week with pleasure anglers reporting catches to over 100lb. Corn or meat down the margin, maggot or pellet down the middle and banded 6mm pellet across to the island have been the best tactics .

SIBLINGS B Nets to around 80lb were caught with most pegs around the end of the point giving great sport from f1s from 1-4lbs. Pellet ,meat ,maggot or caster fished short or down edges has been the way to go.
