FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Still a little difficult but there is a sign that it is picking up a bit with carp to 16lb and F1s to 7lb showing. Match weights to around 50lb were best and long pole with maggots or hard pellet accounted for the better nets. Carp anglers were catching a few doubles on boilies fished to the island with pegs 25 – 29 and 42 – 48 best for carp.

GEARYS There were a few carp caught this week with method feeder, bomb with bread or boilies and even the odd one coming to the pole and pellet. Fish to 16lb were weighed in during Sunday’s Winter League. The skimmers are still showing in numbers with fish to 3lb coming to pole with worm, caster, maggot or expander pellet and nets to over 20lb were caught this week with the high bank area best.

LITTLE GEARYS Still a little patchy with nets to 40lb+ best and the straight banks from
5 – 13 and 27 – 30 have been the best areas. Maggot feeder, bomb with 6mm pellet and pole with maggot/pellet have been the best tactics.

ANNIVERSARIES A lot of fish have been held up in the bay on pegs 7 – 9 with carp and F1s showing there caught on pole fished maggot or pellet. In the open water, a wafter or bomb with 6mm pellet has been working well for the F1s.

GRATUITIES The far side from pegs 9 – 15 has been in the best form with carp to 5lb, F1s, skimmers and roach showing to pole fished maggot/expander pellet or a small feeder fished tight to the island.

WILLOW Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with nets this week to around 30lb and most pegs are providing some sport. F1s and silver fish including some nice chub and ide were coming to maggots or pellet on the pole or waggler.

SIBLINGS A Siblings A has been a little more consistent and fished better with nets to 68lb caught this week. Pole fished bread dobbed across to the island or pellet/maggot fished down the middle is catching carp to 10lb and F1s to 5lb.

SIBLINGS B There have been plenty of bites with F1s from 1 – 4lb showing on most pegs in nets to around 40lb best. Maggot on the pole fished down the middle has been working best but also dobbing bread across to the far side.
