REPORT

MOLANDS A mixture of weather saw the first frosts of the year and high pressure made the fishing a little harder this week with nets to around 80lb best in matches. In the sunny conditions the carp were all on the top and pellet waggler or candle with pellet caught some fish to 16lb. The F1s have been a little patchy but pellet feeder fished down the middle or down the edges with caster or maggot have been the best tactics with some fish going over 4lb. The top pegs have been 8 – 12, 21 – 23, 41 – 46 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS Still not in the best of form with nets to around 80lb mainly consisting of the bigger sized carp. Bomb and pellet, method feeder to the middle stumps and down the margins with corn or dead maggot have accounted for fish to around 15lb. Nets of skimmers to around 25lb are being caught on caster or maggot over ground bait with the high bank area the best for these.

LITTLE GEARYS Very much an up and down week with decent fishing one day and poor the next. The F1s are very inconsistent at the moment with the carp showing better and some good fish were caught. Pellet at five metres or 13 metres on the deck has been working well along with fishing down the margins with paste, corn or worm over groundbait.

ANNIVERSARIES Pegs 2, 6, 15, 17 and 23 have been the best pegs with lots of F1s and the odd bigger carp showing. Pole fished pellet or maggot over micros is also worth a try.

SIBLINGS Fished well this week with nets to around 80lb mainly of carp but the F1s, ide and skimmers have been showing well too. Pole fished with corn, bread or maggot over micros is the top tactic and then down the margins later on in the day with corn or pellet also working.

SIBLINGS B Fishing slow at the beginning of the week but more consistent toward the weekend with the F1s starting to feed well again, giving plenty of bites. Pole fished maggot, pellet, worm and caster has been the best attack but a few have found a small pellet feeder to the far bank also affective.

WILLOW Still the most consistent pool on the complex with lots of F1s and carp being caught to a variety of tactics. Pellet feeder to the island, shallow pole and pellet and down the margins with corn, paste or worm have all been producing good nets.
