REPORT

MOLANDS The fishing has been good on Molands in the last week with nets to 120lb caught in matches and pleasure anglers catching plenty of fish including carp to around the 20lb mark. The warm weather saw lots of carp on the surface and the bigger fish came to floating baits such as dog biscuit or oily floaters. In the matches, method /pellet feeder fished to the island or down the inside margins with caster, maggot or pellet was the best approach.

GEARYS Some cracking fish were caught this week with lots between 15 – 20lb coming to surface baits or corn/meat fished down the edges. Method/pellet feeder with wafter or dead red maggot also producing plenty of fish and pinging 8mm pellet and fishing bomb with pellet or boilies is starting to work well.

LITTLE GEARYS Match weights to 100lb were caught this week and very good consistent action was had all around the pool. F1s were providing the main action and they have been coming to short pole and pellet fished either on the ‘deck’ or shallow, maggot or pellet down the margins and the pellet feeder to the island. The bigger carp are responding to big pellets fished up to the island with waggler or bomb.

GRATUITIES Shallow or on the top has been the way to catch the carp on Grats with lots of fish around the bottom and pegs from 6 – 10. Dog biscuit, bread on the top or pellet waggler have accounted for fish to double figures. Caster or expander pellet fished on the pole is working best for mixed nets fished long at 10 – 16 meters.

WILLOW Good sport with plenty of carp and F1s coming to pole with pellet or on the ‘deck’ or fished shallow. Waggler and pellet or a small feeder to the island has been also working

SIBLINGS A Siblings A has been a bit harder this week with nets to around 50lb best made up of carp, F1s and ide. Best tactics has been dobbing corn or pellet along the far bank or just down the far shelf and down the inside margins fishing to any corner.

SIBLINGS B Slow at the start of the week but improved by the weekend with nets to 60lb+ of F1s being caught on long pole and pellet or maggot fished short but feeding heavily. The end of the pool on pegs 9 – 11 or 17/18 have been the top pegs.

ANNIVERSARIES Fishing very well last week with pleasure anglers reporting nets of F1s to 100lb+ with fish to 5lb coming to long pole and pellet fished shallow. The bigger carp are mainly in the back bay on pegs 7 – 10 with fish to 15lb being caught on method feeder with small boilies or wafters.
