FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Definitely improving with fish coming to a variety of tactics despite the water being quite clear. Carp to 20lb, F1s to 8lb, bream and tench to 4lb have featured in catches this week. The bigger carp are coming to boilies fished close in or tight up to the island. In the matches, nets to 100lb+ have been caught and pole with banded 6mm pellet fished short or at 14 metres and down the margins with maggot or caster have been the best tactics.

GEARYS The rain which was much needed has seen the water levels rise and the fishing has now improved. Carp to 21lb have been reported by carp anglers fishing boilies over a spod mix. In the matches, nets to around 100lb have been caught but more importantly, the fish are showing on all areas of the pool. Bomb and pellet, method with wafters or down the margins with corn, worm or dead maggot have all worked well.

LITTLE GEARYS Carp to 15lb and F1s to 6lb have featured in catches and the fishing has been steady with most pegs capable of providing decent nets. Long pole with pellet on the deck or shallow, small method/pellet feeder fished tight to the island and down the edges with corn, pellet or dead maggot have all worked well.

GRATUITIES The waggler has been producing the best results fishing corn, pellet or bread up to the island and catching carp from 3 – 12lb. Pellet feeder is also worth a go again up to the island. There have been lots of silver fish being caught on caster, maggot or expander pellet.

ANNIVERSARIES F1 nets to around 60lb were best with pole fished maggot or pellet the successful tactic, either fished shallow or on the bottom. A few bigger carp showing on the early pegs from 1 – 6 with fish to 10lb coming to corn or pellet fished up to the features.

WILLOW Always popular, Willow has been in decent form this week with plenty of carp from 3 – 8lb plus the odd bigger samples and F1s from 2 – 4lb. Waggler or feeder to the island and pole fished banded hard pellet or caster/worm have been the best tactics.

SIBLINGS A It has been a little slower this week but some nice carp being caught on corn or pellet fished close in down the margins with fish to 15lb coming this method. F1s and ide were caught on pole and pellet/maggot fished down the middle. Best pegs have been from 9 – 17.

SIBLINGS B Good consistent sport to be had on Siblings ‘B’ with F1s from 1 – 3lb coming to pole with pellet, maggot or caster fished long to start with but bringing them close in as the session progresses. A few bigger carp were being caught on bread or corn dobbed around the far bank.
