FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The sudden drop in temperatures affected the fishing which had been good at the start of the week but then turned patchy. Nets to over 100lb were caught but generally the F1s switched off on most areas. Long pole with meat or pellet has been the top tactic with method feeder or waggler fished to the island also worth a try. Best areas have been pegs 2, 25 – 31,
39 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Definitely fished a lot harder this week with nets to around 80lb best. Carp to nearly 20lb have featured with plenty of double figure fish coming out from the top or on boilies on the lead. In the matches, method feeder or bomb and pellet has been the best tactic.

LITTLE GEARYS Nets of F1s to around 80lb are being caught in matches and by pleasure
anglers. Probably the most consistent pool at the moment. Pole fished corn or meat down the edges over micros has been the top tactic but waggler and pellet, pellet feeder and shallow boilies have also been catching.

ANNIVERSARIES Carp and F1s are showing on most pegs with nets to 90lb reported by pleasure anglers. The top end from pegs 1 – 6 and around the back bank on 19 – 23 have been the top areas. Maggot, corn or pellet on the pole fishing for F1s and the better carp have been caught off the top.

WILLOW Some good catches caught on caster this week with the F1s in particular liking it shallow at 10 – 14 metres. Carp to double figures being caught down the margins on corn or meat or across to the island on waggler and pellet.

GRATUTIES Nice fishing this week with good mixed nets of crucians, skimmers, roach with the odd bonus carp being caught on float fished pellet, corn or caster. The better carp have been caught on surface baits with bread or dog biscuit catching samples to double figures.

SIBLINGS A Fished quite hard this week with nets to around 40lb being caught. Fishing down the margins with meat, corn or maggot working best. Shallow caster or maggot is also worth a try with nice nets of ide and F1s coming to this method.

SIBLINGS B There are plenty of bites to be had on Siblings ‘B’ with F1s from 1 – 3lb providing the main action. Short pole with pellet or maggot is working best but later in the day, fishing down the edges with corn or pellet is successful. Pegs 1 – 7 have been the better pegs.
