FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The fishing has still been very patchy this week with the fish starting to spawn . Carp to 24lb were the highlight with a number of 20lb + fish again reported this week mainly by carp anglers fishing boilies across to the island or off the top on dog biscuit. In the matches nets to 60lb were best and carp to double figures made up the better nets with waggler or bomb and pellet or meat on the pole fished short or down the margins .

GEARYS Carp to 24lb and nets to 105lb were best this week and most parts of the pool are producing a few fish. In the matches bomb/ pellet waggler with 8mm pellet ,method feeder or mugging have been the best tactics. Decent catches of skimmers being caught with nets to over 50lb being caught on banded hard pellet, expanders or worm on the pole. Carp anglers are catching well on boilies fished with PVA bags.

LITTLE GEARYS Fished much better this week with the best match weight of the year so far coming a massive 205lb caught on peg 9 by Steve Daley using caster shallow on the pole. Good nets being caught on most areas with meat or caster the top baits and shallow tactics coming in to their own.

ANNIVERSARIES Like all of the f1 dominated pools its been a bit tougher this week with them not feeding great in high pressure. Nets to around 50lb were best with caster or pellet shallow, banded hard pellet on the deck or on the wider pegs bomb with 6mm pellet and method feeder working best.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures in nets to 60lb have been caught on waggler and bomb with 8mm pellet fished to the island or banded 6mm pellet on the pole. The margin sport on the corner pegs has been really good with worm or meat catching lots of carp and f1s. For those that like the silver fish nets to 25lb of nice sized roach and skimmers are being caught on maggot or caster

WILLOW Fished a little tougher this week with pegs 5-10 still producing nets to over 100lb early in the week made up of carp to double figures and f1s to 5lb but as the weather got warmer catches dropped off a little. Shallow tactics still working best but waggler or feeder to the island and down the margins with meat or corn also catching well.

SIBLINGS A Fished a little tougher this week with match and pleasure anglers reporting catches to 50lb with the fish startng to spawn Corn or meat down the margin or maggot/pellet down the middle and banded 6mm pellet across to the island have been the best tactics for carp to double figures and big f1s

SIBLINGS B Nets to around 70lb were caught this week and most pegs producing decent sport but the fish moved in numbers back to the end of the point from pegs 7-11 which were fishing well. Meat or caster on the short pole and shallow cater have been the best approach.
