Tunnel Barn Farm has been on a stupendous run of form of late and the tenth round of Fish’O’Mania was no exception yesterday with ten 200lb weights and almost half the field having over 100lb! Conditions were also spot on with mild overcast conditions that saw the lakes resident F1s feed in the shallow water.

Making the most of this feeding frenzy was Paul Blinkhorn from his end peg on House pool, peg 3. Paul has fished an incredibly busy match, catching most of his weight in F1s shallow on 6 sections of pole. He fooled them by feeding casters out of his hand for a memorising 269lb 6oz and this sees him back for another shot at the big money final!

Second on the day was Phillip Moore who’s drawn on the favoured New Pool, peg 33. Phil has also plundered Tunnel’s stock of F1s and caught all-day shallow, for a huge 257lb 13oz.

Rounding out the top three was the ever-consistent Dave Shires, who put together another staggering weight of 257lb 1oz from High Pool, peg 6. Dave started in his margins, but soon found a bigger stamp of F1s shallow on caster where he’s stayed for the rest of the match.

A huge thanks to Sarah, Mike and the team at Tunnel for another flawless qualifier and to David Kent and Joe Roberts for running the match. Our next qualifier is another SELLOUT at Moorlands Farm and anglers are reminded to check the new procedures and pay for their pools on the Online Booking Site.
