Reports are circulating of a huge eel capture by National Anguilla Club member Steve Ricketts.
The fish (pictured) measured 47 inches by 12 inches and was witnessed by several people including the NAC records officer Tony Kellner and weighed on three sets of scales all of which registered a weight higher than Steve Terry’s current and long standing iconic eel record of 11lb 2oz, which many thought to be unbeatable.
Scales are being verified by the BRFC before we know for sure if a new record is recorded.
