Jacob McNeil is the first youngster to progress from the England Talent Pathway programme to a World squad and it is hoped that Jake’s achievement will inspire more youngsters to get involved and follow in his footsteps.  For more information about the England Talent Pathway and to find out how to get involved visit

Dick Clegg, OBE, International Events Manager for the Angling Trust stated “After last years fantastic performance in France the 2014 squad will be going into this years event full of confidence and I know that manager Steve Sanders and coach Joe Roberts will make sure that this team are totally up to speed.  At this stage in their lives young anglers need to have a management team that they respect and we have no one better in England to ensure success than Steve and Joe.
