Not ideal conditions for the fish but a flat calm October sunny day is a bonus for the angler, John Goodwin drew peg 35 and opted to fish bomb and meat cast tight to the island he had 10 carp in the first hour before the sun came out and then 29 more steady through the rest of the match his biggest carp was 9lb 12oz weighing in a total of 140lb 11oz and winning his first match at the fishery. 2nd placed Worksop’s Brod Perkins also fished bomb and meat at peg 21 casting into the big bay he had 12 big carp – 10lb.

This match had to be cut short because of the heavy rain and the fact it got to dark to see but the outcome was the same, Pete and Dave battling for top spot again, this week it went Dave’s way drawn on the end peg he fished pole and corn out for 6 carp – 4lb then the last hour he fished down the margin for 10 more – 9lb. Just managing 2nd spot, Pete fished pole and meat out at 12m after a slow start he had only 3 carp in the net with an hour to go but a change to corn on the hook brought him 12 more – 4lb finishing with 64lb 9oz

John fished the usual pole tight down the margin on peg 42 without success  a change to pole fished at 11m out with pellet and caster brought instant success with skimmers and tench – 2lb and carp – 3lb coming every put out, finishing with a total of 47lb. On the next peg Jeff fished pole and pellet at the side of the weed bed for a net of carp – 2lb
