All lakes continue their good form. Sam Ward from Mansfield had a good day pleasure fishing on the Sherwood lake fishing the pole at side of the lily pad in peg 15 he had 38 Bream – 4lb, 3 tench the best going 5lb caught on double red maggot and sweet corn, he estimated his catch at over 80lb. Graham Eden won Mansfield AA match on the same lake with 38lb 13 a nice net of skimmers and tench with a bonus 6lb carp on pole and pellet.Fishing the same method on the Maunside Sam Seal won RJN’s club match with 41lb 2 fishing down the track for small carp and chub on peg 10. Lots of bites on the Langdale on maggot and 4mm pellet for small carp chub ide and skimmers expect 40+lb when pleasure fishing 20lb will get you in the frame in matches. The Holmedale lake continues to throw up good weights Dave Madin won Wednesdays 5hr open match with 73lb 15 fishing pole and pellet for carp at peg 21, and Jason Thomas won the 3 1/2 hour evening match on Sunday with 67lb 7 fishing a small method feeder cast tight to the lily’s in peg 33. lots of carp – low doubles showing up all round the lake on all permitted baits and methods, but late afternoon and evenings is when sport as been at its best.
