For the first time anglers phoned to say they wont be coming to fish the match because its going to be to hot, but the anglers that did brave the heat had a good time. Pete has drawn peg 51 three times this year and the outcome has been the same, winning all three.  He fished pole and pellet out at 12m for the first hour without a bite, a change to fishing corn down the margin brought instant success in the way of a 6lb mirror carp, then it was no looking back, having over 30 carp – 8lb steady throughout the rest of the match finishing with a total of 106lb 4oz. Dean in 2nd place didn’t have a bite in the first half of the match but when the carp moved over his pellets it was a fish every put in, fishing pole and paste down the margin he had a nice net of carp -7lb
