Birmingham’s Kamasan Starlets saw off 25 teams including Daiwa Dorking to win the CIPS Rules Annual Sensas Challenge held over two days at Packington Somers and Barston Lakes.

The team of Mark Downes, Stephen Fry, Steve Hemingray, Darren Cox and Sean Ashby put in two consistent performances for a team total of 42.5 points, which was 5.5 points clear of second-placed Sensas Mark One, with Ultimate Barnsley A in third. Simon Fry said: “The Sensas Challenge gets bigger every year. We’ve been close before, but to finally win it feels great. Three of our anglers finished in the top ten individually. I was particularly pleased for Mark Downes, who puts his heart and soul into the event.”
