Caption: Team Lindholme romped home to victory in the Commercial Stillwater Championships on their home water in Epworth, nine points clear of their rivals.

A huge turnout of 280 anglers from around the country made their way to the venue on a cold morning, but were treated to a busy day’s fishing.

Team Lindholme took home a cool £2,500 with two firsts and two seconds in sections backed up by a string of top 10 finishes to tally an impressive 108 points.

Second on the day were Drennan Barnsley Blacks with 99 points who narrowly edged out Team Garboilno on 98 points.

Best Individual on the day was ever consistent Neil Mckinnon (Team Lindholme/Preston Innovations Telford) who drew on Laurels peg 40. Neil caught 66kg 650gms of quality carp tight to the reeds on stepped up gear, his winning tactics being worm over micros.

Second Individual was Chris Kendall (Garbolino) who also amassed maximum points for his team off peg 64 on Bonsai with 51kg 075gms.

Rounding off the top three on the day was Joe Carass (Drennan Barnsley Blacks) with 44kg 100gms from peg 81 on Bonsai.

The Angling Trust would like to thank Neil Grantham for sponsoring the lucrative top prize and for use of his fishery and excellent staff at Lindholme Lakes. Thanks also to Jemma Phillips for the results system which provided excellent real time results.
