The UK Game Fair, which was due to be held at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry, has been cancelled.

Following the news, the organisers of The Game Fair at Ragley Hall are helping businesses and visitors affected by honouring tickets and certain exhibitor stands at the event which continues to build momentum at Ragley Hall.

Now in its 58th year, The Game Fair is a long-standing and much-loved countryside institution that has been attended through the generations.  Scheduling and plans for the The Game Fair at Ragley Hall remain unchanged.

Supporting exhibitors

The two show teams are working in collaboration together to ensure that the needs of the countryside and businesses that rely on it are not adversely impacted by the closure of the Stoneleigh Event.  The Game Fair team are on hand to help minimise any inconvenience and ensure that exhibitors moving to the Ragley Hall show have a seamless transition.

Welcoming visitors

All visitors with Stoneleigh Park day tickets will be warmly welcomed at Ragley Hall, anyone affected by this should check the UK Game Fair website for more information.

Single focus for the industry

Speaking about the news, James Gower, Managing Director of The Game Fair at Ragley Hall said: “It must have been a very hard decision to take for the team at Stoneleigh Park to cancel their show.  What it does demonstrate is that the industry needs one strong and established world-class event, with scale, that provides a single focus for everyone to get behind and support and this is exactly the event that we will deliver this July and in the future.

“Following the news we urge the industry to come together as one and continue with a unified Game Fair that has the industry’s interests at its heart, and offers a truly great experience for visitors and exhibitors alike.  And with our venues confirmed for the next six years, we continue to move forward and help country businesses and associations plan with certainty and stability for years to come.”

“We’ve got just over five weeks to go until we open at Ragley Hall and the team is already on-site and putting the final plans into place for what will be a great three-day festival.  Our team is on-hand and available to help anyone affected by today’s news.”

Wes Stanton from Blaze Publishing said: “While I’m massively disappointed, I realise that this is the right decision [to cancel the event]. It is already a packed summer event calendar and having worked in this market for over 20 years I believe this is the best way forward for everyone.”
