The River Yare, a venue known better for its excellent summer silver fish sport, has produced a fine 30lb 9oz carp to Keith Cracknell.
The Norwich specialist was having a pint in the beer garden of a pub on the river when he saw a group of big fish moving.
He was back the next morning and after a week of baiting up with corn, he finally lured the 30lb mirror.
Keith says it was one of a group of nearly 20 big carp with two well into the thirties, and he intends to carry on targeting them.
The fish fell to floatfishing tactics with corn on a size 12 hook.
