A nice spring day was spoiled by the gusting wind making presentation hard for most anglers, Pete made the most of sheltered end peg 51 he fished pole corn and pellet down the margin for 23 carp – 8lb and breaking the 100lb mark for the first time this year, In second Jim fished ground bait feeder and meat cast tight to the island for 20 carp – 5lb.

Mat fished pole and pellet down the margin because of the wind but again it paid off, catching mostly bream – 2lb and 6 carp -1lb he finished over 11lb in front of 2nd place Lee Payling, he fished sort pole and caster for a nice net of roach and skimmers

 Due to work commitments Craig has only fished 3 matches at the fishery this year but has a 100% record winning all three. Drawn at peg 45 on this partly froze lake he fished pole corn and meat over very few pellets at 13m, he had a stocky carp on his first put out and never looked back having a bite most drops in ending with over 30 carp – 5lb. Team mate and travelling partner Rob fished similar method the Craig with corn and pellet on the hook, having a few less fish but is biggest carp was 7lb.

 A degree warmer in the water and the fish want to feed, Lee fished pole and caster at 12m on the deck and then up in the water for a superb net of roach -12oz and skimmers to the same loose feeding every put he soon had the fish queuing up to take the bait. Jason in 2nd fished the same method has Lee taking roach and skimmers but he was the only angler to catch a carp landing a 5lb mirror after a 15 minute battle on light gear.
