The Preston Innovations UK Angling Championship was one of the most hotly contested events last year and was a complete sell out. With arguably the most credible title in the UK Match scene and a £26,000 cash prize fund up for grabs, the four round league takes place this year at Lindholme Lakes (8th June), Colemans Cottage (13th July), Woodlands View (17th August) and Barston Lakes (14th September).

The top 40 from last year automatically qualify for this years series and the remaining 40 places will be decided by two 80 peg qualifying heats which will take place at Barston in May ( 4th and 25th). The qualifying heats are open to all to fish and both have a prize fund of £1000 offering a great payday and, if you finish in the top 20, a chance of taking part in the UK’s top match series.

Midlander Grant Albutt took the title last year after a hotly contested fight across 4 very different rounds and had this to say “The UK Champs was a superb series last year. I know all of the lads enjoyed it and it was very close right to the wire. 2011 will be no different and I can recommend it to anyone that is into serious match fishing”.

Entry to the eliminators costs £40 and bookings are taken on line using PayPal through the web site.
