PREMIER Fisheries UK have announced the country’s biggest ever campaign to encourage people to discover the relaxation and enjoyment of fishing.
‘Go Fishing with Premier’ is a unique initiative offering £50,000 worth of FREE tackle, bait, licenses and tuition to help introduce newcomers and lapsed anglers alike to the fun of angling.

Celebrating the 10th year of Premier Fisheries, the UK’s most forward thinking commercial fisheries group, 1500 starter kits will be given away which include a four metre pole, ready to fish rigs, and assorted bait.

To be eligible for a starter pack simply register your details at www.premierfisheries.co.uk <http://www.premierfisheries.co.uk/>  then turn up at the Premier Fisheries venue of your choice and buy a day ticket.

Tackle, bait, and a ‘How to…’ guide will be issued with the ticket. The Environment Agency has NOT waived the requirement for a National Rod Licence for those wishing to take up the Start Kit offer and ‘Go Fishing with Premier’, as previously reported.

The initiative is sponsored by tackle company Browning and bait manufacturer Cotswold Baits.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to turn up to a top fishery in the countryside and get a taste of fishing. With free tackle, bait and no EA rod licence required there’s nothing to stop anyone having a go. Premier Fisheries are known for the superb standard of fishing and facilities they provide, giving everyone a great chance of catching fish, having a lot of fun and most importantly relaxing,” said Anthony Connolly, Director of Browning.

“Angling is a great way to relax and is fun for all the family,” said David de Vere of Old Bury Hill Fisheries, Dorking, Surrey, a leading Premier venue. “This initiative makes it easier than ever for people with no experience or tackle and who have never had the opportunity to come and get involved and enjoy the fun of fishing.

“There are a huge number of lapsed anglers who need reminding how much fun fishing is. Having fished as youngsters, they most likely now have families themselves and live hectic lives. Angling is the perfect way to enjoy the countryside and unwind from the stresses of daily life.”

Andy Stump, Managing Director of Cotswold Baits said: “We are absolutely delighted to take part in this exciting and important initiative with Premier Fisheries .”
