REPORT
MOLANDS
The very cold weather during the week was followed by much warmer conditions at the weekend.  The fish look like they are starting to spawn and the fishing has been very patchy with huge stocks in some areas and very few on other pegs.  The top tactics have been pellet feeder with white boilies, meat or 8mm pellet fished tight up to the island for carp and F1’s or long pole with chopped worm and caster for mixed nets.  Top pegs have been 8 – 19, 25 – 29, 41 – 46 and 62 – 55.

GEARYS
The fishing has picked up through the weekend with carp showing on most areas with some lumps being caught this week.  Fish to nearly 20lb are being caught on pole and corn or meat fished down the margins particularly later in the evenings.  The skimmers have been a little hit or miss but nets to 40lb have been caught on pellet or caster fished on the pole.  Best pegs 1, 6, 7, 12, 16, 20, 27, 31 – 33 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS
This pool got better with the warmer weather at the weekend with anglers catching really well on meat, paste or pellet fished really close in to the margins.  F1’s to 4lb, carp to 8lb and skimmers are feeding well and like most of the pools, the evening sessions are best.  Top pegs are 1 – 5, 7, 11, 17 – 21 and 25 – 29.

GRATUITIES
Most pegs are producing plenty of small carp from 1 – 4lb, crucians, skimmers and a few tench.  Pole fished caster or expander pellet fished short at around five metres is the top tactic at the moment.  Some bigger fish are falling to surface baits with carp to double figures showing to dog biscuit or bread.  Best pegs 4 – 7 and 9 – 12.

ANNIVERSARIES
Lots of bites if you fish caster, small expanders or maggot with mixed nets of skimmers, crucians, tench, roach and small carp.  The decent catches are from most pegs but 1 – 6, 9, 10, 15 and 23 have been in the best form.

SIBLINGS
The best pool for bigger carp with the reedbed end of the pool producing fish to 15lb and this week meat or boilies fished down the edge on the roadside bank has worked well but as the weather improved more fish were coming to surface baits.  There have been plenty of tench, skimmers, crucians and smaller carp coming to float fished corn or meat fished close in down the margins on most pegs.
