Hardy & Greys Game Academy member, Susan Sissons has landed another place with the England Ladies International Team.

The qualifier competition, held on Bewl Water, Kent in August was the annual England Ladies National competition to qualify for the Loch Style Team and to compete in the Ladies Home International in 2009.

Ladies from all over England took part in the competition, which is the Ladies version of the CEFF National.

Using her Hardy Demon rod and reel outfit, Sue managed to land three fish weighing in at 6lb 7.0oz giving her the 4th overall place in the competition on what was a very hard fishing day.

Susan, from Derbyshire has fished for England 9 times in the last 10 years and holds 6 gold and 3 silver medals.

As a member of the England Ladies Fly Fishing Team (ELFA) Susan has taken part in various European and Home Inernational championships, winning the England Ladies Loch Style National two years in succession; Susan is the only lady to have achieved this.

As a qualified Level 2 Game Angling Instructor in Trout fishing, Susan is also an active member of the England ladies Fly Fishing Association and sits on the committee as Sponsorship Secretary.

Susan said;

“I am thrilled to be in the team for my tenth time. It is an honour to fish against so many skilled lady anglers, qualify again to fish for England and be able to represent Hardy & Greys in such a respected competition.”

Next year, teams of 14 ladies from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will compete in the Home International at Lough Leanne in Ireland.

Sue’s success follows a host of Hardy & Greys representatives qualifying for National Competitions including Game Product Manager, Howard Croston who has qualified for the world fishing team next year and Scott Nellins, qualifier for the England Home International Loch Style Final.
