E&L®, niche insurance specialists for more than 70 years have launched a new range of fishing insurance schemes under the Angler’s Choice banner to provide cover for anglers and their equipment both on and off the lake or riverside. 

Francis Martin, General Manager of E&L® said: “After listening to comments from clients that their basic household insurance policies were not providing sufficient cover for sports and angling equipment we developed Angler’s Choice. 

“Two plans are available to UK anglers providing cover for either coarse fishing or match and game fishing (including coarse) throughout the world. 

“Being keen to encourage juniors into this great sport and spend some valuable time in the British countryside, we are offering a premium reduction to those aged between 14-16 years and also individuals aged over 65 years old.”

The company launched the new policy on 1 August 2005. The scheme includes cover for public liability, personal accident, temporary disablement, theft, damage and accidental loss with monthly premiums starting from £3.90.
