The Angling Trust are pleased to announce the team that will be taking part in the FIPSed 22nd Anglers with Disabilities World Coarse Championship on the River Sava, Slovenia next year.

Following a successful England trial assessment day held recently on the River Soar at Loughborough with everyone fishing to FIPSed International rules, John Weeden the England Manager has selected a strong team going out to Slovenia.

Angling Trust England Anglers with Disabilities Team will consist of;

Mark Russell
Mark Eves
Roy Wells
Alan Chadbone
Stefan Gent
John Weeden (England Manager)
Ethan Etherington (Delegate)

John Weeden, England Manager stated “After a successful assessment day on the River Soar, I was really impressed with everyone in attendance and it was very hard to select a squad, but I have decided to keep the same team that fished in Italy earlier this year who finished in silver medal position. Joining the team will be Ethan Etherington who will be going out to the World Championship to gain experience at international level.”

“The World Championship venue in Slovenia will be a deep and fast flowing river so some challenges ahead, but I believe I have selected a strong squad who should do well competing on this particular venue and we have high hopes of another podium finish.”

The Angling Trust wish the Anglers with Disabilities team all the very best of luck in 2020.
