Chris Denton booked ‘The Obsessed Angler’ Russ Evans for himself and his son Adam for a coaching lesson on Milton Lake at Bury Hill Fishery to learn some of the finer points of catching plenty of fish on the waggler plus how to prepare expander pellets for the hook and how to correctly feed to keep the fish biting.

With a total of 42 fish between them including a carp of 6lb, tench to over 3lb and 35 superb-looking crucians with the best just nudging over the 2lb mark. Chris commented: “Thank you so much for the expert tuition yesterday. We learned so much and it was a great day, we still cannot believe how many fish we caught!”
A smiling Adam said; “I cannot believe we have caught 42 fish today that is more than we have ever caught in the total of all our fishing trips put together!”
As you can see by the photos, Adam was a happy chappy!

If targeting perch in the winter months appeals then Russ will be offering midweek coaching sessions for the stripeys, email him for costs and available dates.
