It’s been a great week of fishing at Shatterford Lakes with lots of anglers cashing on both the big carp and catfish having a feed.

Jim Smith’s first catfish is one he won’t forget as it weighed 50lb. Jim’s fish fell to a bunch of worms and there has also been a 36lb 8oz moggie to Kidderminster’s Matt Childe, this one falling for meat. Meanwhile eight-year-old Oliver Childe had a personal best 15lb 8oz mirror carp. Kingswinford angler Oliver Badger fished boilies for ten carp to 15lb plus a 31lb catfish, his first of the species. But carp catches were topped by Chris Welceck, who fished Cell boilies for 19 fish to 19lb.
