Dave Farr took second one spot with a net of carp caught on hairrigged double corn from the margins
3rd R Holmes, Notts AA, 48-14-0; Out 13 Roger Holmes from Nottingham caught carp and bream at 10m using expander pellet over 4mm feed pellets.

Moat Pool, 31 pegs
1st A Sellars, Bankside Tackle, 95-10-0; Isl 33 Andy Sellars netted mainly carp and the odd bream using maggot on a groundbait feeder fished to the middle of Moat.
2nd A Tait, New Packet, 85-10-0;Isl 43
Alan Tait took second spot with a mixed net of carp and skimmers caught on a short pole line using maggots over pellets and groundbait.
3rd T Brown, MAP Leegem, 68-8-0; Isl 67
Tony Brown edged the close third place with a net of carp taken from the margins using corn and pellets.

Thursday 25th April, Daiwa Hallcroft Veterans Match
Bridge/Croft 34 pegs

1st B Sullivan, MAP Leegem, 158-6-0; b Isl 7 ‘Dangerous’ Brian Sullivan showed just how lethal he can be when on fish as he annihilated the field today with the top weight from Bridge this year.  Brian fished pellet and meat on the pole at 12m to net carp too 10lbs.
2nd A Berisford, MAP Leegem, 93-14-0; Croft 20 Arthur Berisford finished second  with a brilliant mixed net of carp, tench and skimmers all caught using caster over groundbait at 8m on the pole.
3rd D Downes, Killamarsh, 80-6-0; b Isl 10 Dave Downes took third spot with carp caught on the pole using expander pellets. Dave’s net included a nice carp weighing just over 20lbs, which put up quite a battle on the pole.

Friday 26th April, Daiwa Hallcroft PM Match Moat Pool 32 pegs
1st A Cordall, Bryden A C, 87-2-0; peg Isl 51 The cold north wind knocked the weights down slightly as presentation was made difficult.  Andy Cordall fished a great match though, using casters and groundbait on a short pole line to catch carp and bream for the win.
2nd G Westwater, MAP Marukyu, 74-12-0; peg Out 21 A good late run from the margins saw Graham Westwater to second spot. Graham fished pellet and corn over groundbait to both side margins to net carp too 8lbs plus.
3rd A Oldham, Halkon Hunt, 68-8-0; peg Isl 43 Andy Oldham took the close third spot with carp and bream caught on corn and pellet at 10m and down the margins.
4th S Pimperton, Sheffield, 66-10-0;  
5th S Gray, Worksop, 64-14-0;

Saturday 27th April, Daiwa Hallcroft Open Match.

Moat Pool, 20 pegs
1st B Poole, Retford, 69-12-0; peg Isl 2 Bob Poole was today’s winner in what turned out to be a cold day’s fishing. Bob fished pellet and corn to a deep edge peg where he caught carp to 7lbs plus.
2nd D Downes, Killamarsh, 64-8-0; peg Out 98 Dave Downes fished a ground bait feeder with hairrigged meat and corn as hook baits to catch carp from the middle of Moat to take second spot.
3rd D Dare, Marukyu, 40-10-0; peg Isl 33 Dave Dare fished maggot over groundbait at 6m on the pole where he caught mainly bream in his third place net.
4th N Wood, MAP Leegem, 40-1-0; peg Isl 23

Sunday 28th April, MAP Leegem Spring League Rnd 8 Moat Pool 60 pegs
1st G Hazlewood, MAP Leegem, 103-7-0; peg Isl 11 In tricky conditions, Gary Hazlewood persevered with fishing a long pole shallow with cubed  luncheon to claim the victory. Gary’s ton plus net comprised mainly of carp which weighed to 9lbs plus.
2nd S Spurr, MAP Leegem, 96-8-0; peg Out 18 Steve Spurr was second today fishing similar tactics as the winner, but picked up the odd fish at full depth as well. Steve loose fed 6mm meat over his 13m pole line, steadily all match.
3rd S Stead, MAP Leegem, 69-5-0; peg Out 24 Steve Stead took third place with some big carp caught on long pole with punched meat over pellets.
4th J Simms, MAP Leegem, 48-1-0;  
5th K Pacey, Gainsborough, 46-7-0;  
6th P Elliott, MAP Leegem, 45-1-0;

Croft/B Island 15 pegs
1st J Masson, Maver Marukyu, 109-8-0; peg Croft 23 Jamie Masson was today’s winner with a nice mixed net of carp and silvers all caught on long pole with expander pellet over 4mm feed pellets. Jamie enjoyed the added bonus of a Golden Peg layout.
2nd A Oldham, Halkon Hunt, 89-12-0; peg B Isl 8 Andy Oldham took second place with a net of mainly carp all caught on the pole at 13m using expander pellets and punched meat.
3rd S Gray, Worksop, 85-2-0; peg Croft 5 Stuart Gray fished expander pellet at 8m and netted carp, tench and skimmers for third spot
4th J Skipper, Gainsborough, 83-0-0;  
5th C Wharton, Sheffield, 76-0-0;
