This good midweek turnout saw a return of some impressive weights. Leading the way was Andy Sellars from peg 75. Andy fished shallow and on the bottom at 13m with meat over hemp and also utilised the pellet cone for carp into double figures.

Andy also used meat to good effect, fishing long pole both on the deck and shallow at 2ft for his carp dominated net

Nick Speed nearly broke the ton with 99lb. He caught 30lb of skimmers and 8 carp on meat at 13m

Brian also opted for tip tactics but used straight lead with banded 8mm pellet fo carp to 15lb

Poor weather made fishing far from favourable for this friday open on moat pool. Adam Richards led the way with 118lb. Adam fished short and long on the deck with 6mm and 8mm meat for carp to 9lb

Daz opted for paste over pellet and hemp at 10m fo his carp dominated net

Nick also used meat to good effect. Fishing at 13m on the bottom Nick caught 50/50 carp and skimmers

Scott Plant continued his good run of form from last week with a victory in today’s open. Scott fished expander pellet over feed pellet on the pole at 11m to catch mainly small carp falling just short of the ton.
2 J Masson, Maver Marukyu, 77-8-0 peg Canal 4
Jamie Masson took second place with a nice net of small carp caught on the pole using pellets and paste.
3 D Oldham, MAP Leegem, 60-6-0 peg 19
Daz Oldham fished luncheon meat on the pole to the far bank and finished third overall.

Andy Favill finished a clear winner on the day with a decent ton plus net of carp and silvers. Andy fished worms and maggots to the margins for most of the match and netted carp to 10lbs.

Nick Speed edged the close second spot fishing luncheon meat on the short pole where he picked up carp and bream in his ton plus net.
3 S Clark, Mansfield Sensas, 108-10-0; peg Isl 33
Steve Clark fished chopped worm on the pole at 8m and netted mainly carp in his third placed ton plus net.
