1st I Donaldson, Notts A A, 62-0-0; peg Isl 19 Ian Donaldson continued his recent good form, edging victory in this close match. Ian once again caught using rod and reel with maggots as bait.
2nd D Farr, Sheffield, 60-8-0; Out 21
Dave Farr took second place with a net of carp caught using cubed meat on a short pole line.
3rd J Simms, MAP Leegem, 56-12-0; Isl 15 Joe Simms netted carp and bream using expander pellet at 9m on the pole to finish third.

1st A Favill, Tuxford, 142-0-0; peg Isl 7 Despite the carp spawning in the marginal reeds there were still some impressive weights today. Andy Favill fished just off the margins to catch carp steadily using caster over groundbait. Andy netted 25 carp too 8lbs plus.
2nd N Wood, MAP Leegem, 104-6-0; peg Out 20 Nigel Wood took second also with a ton plus net of carp. Nigel caught using maggot and meat over groundbait at 6m and down the margins.
3rd A Berisford, MAP Leegem, 98-14-0; peg Out 25 Arthur Berisford fished corn and pellet at 6m on the pole to edged the close third spot.
4th S Robbins, MAP Leegem, 97-12-0; 5th T Butt, Hallcroft, 93-6-0; 6th J Langfield, Doncaster, 91-8-0.
Thursday, 6th June 2013, Veterans Match.
Bridge/Croft Pools, 36 pegs.
1st D Sewell, Notts A A, 40-2-0; peg Croft 7 The fish were in a subdued mood following the previous 2 days of spawning and especially the carp proved illusive. Dave Sewell was today’s winner fishing meat and pellet at 8m to catch tench, skimmers plus the odd carp.
2nd R Holmes, Notts A A, 30-2-0; peg Croft 0 Roger Holmes took second place also with mainly silverfish. Roger fished pellet on the pole at 11m feeding with a kinder pot.
3rd R Abbs, Notts A A, 29-2-0; peg Croft 5 Ray Abbs fished meat on the pole at 7m and caught carp and silver’s for third spot.
4th D Farr, Hallcroft, 28-8-0; 5th A Tait, New Packet, 28-2-0;
Friday, 7th June 2013, PM Open Match
Moat Pool, 34 pegs.
1st D Dare, Marukyu, 131-12-0; peg Isl 2 Carp were still in a fickle mood today on Moat Pool. Dave Dare drew fancied peg 2 on Moat Island, but made no mistakes by winning the match with 131lb of carp. Dave fished maggot and caster shallow on the pole at 11m to land 20 plus carp.
2nd N Shipman, Hallcroft, 69-6-0; peg Isl 10 Nigel Shipman also opted for shallow tactics as he caught on meat and pellet at 13m between 12inches and 24inches deep
3rd A Tait, New Packet, 59-10-0; peg Isl 73 Alan Tait edged the very close third place with carp caught from the margins using Pellet and corn.
4th R Teigh, Handsworth, 59-0-0; 5th D Oldham, MAP Leegem, 58-10-0
Saturday, 8th June 2013, Open Match.
Bridge Pool 17 pegs
1st S Plant, Sheffield, 90-12-0; peg Isl 26 Scott Plant made the most of a deep margin peg today as the fish started to show sign of feeding again following the spawning. Scott caught mainly carp using paste on the pole at 12m to the side margin.
2nd D Oldham, MAP Leegem, 72-2-0; peg Isl 12 Daz Oldham claimed second spot with carp and bream caught at 12m shallow with 8mm banded feed pellets.
3rd A Sellars, Bankside Tackle, 55-7-0; peg Isl 8 The close third spot fell to Andy Sellars who caught carp and bream on a shallow waggler with maggots.
4th N Wood, MAP Leegem, 54-8-0; 5th D Whiting, Button Hole AC, 52-6-0;
Sunday, 9th June 2013, Open Match
Moat Outer and Canal, 36 pegs
1st C Owen, Parkgate Angling, 141-10-0; peg Out 35 The carp showed signs of feeding again following the spawning earlier in the week. Craig Owen caught steadily throughout the match by fishing banded pellet shallow on the pole at 12m, loose feeding 6mm feed pellets.
2nd B Poole, Maver Gold Bagum, 122-8-0; peg Canal. Bob Poole edged the close second spot with a nice net of small carp taken from Canal peg 2. Bob fished 6mm expander pellet over kinder potted feed pellets to the far reeds.
3rd A Sellars, Bankside Tackle, 118-13-0; peg Out 85 Andy Sellars netted 15 carp too 10lbs using a waggler shallow in the middle of Moat. Andy caught using hairrigged meat and corn as hook baits.
4th J Masson, Maver Marukyu, 74-8-0; 5th S Twigg, 74-0-0; 6th S Spurr, Retford,72-8-0.
