Moat Pool returned some impressive weights in this latest Friday open with the top 3 all achieving a ton. Leading the way was Dave Dare from island 67 with 133lb. Dave fished worms over groundbait at 6m and in the margins for carp to 12lb

Week 9 of this year’s MAP Leegem series turned out to be one of the best so far with 5 ton plus weights. Eddie Buxton was the close winner today with over 18 carp up to 12lbs totalling 131-5-0, caught down the margins using corn and groundbait with pellet.
2 B Sullivan, MAP Leegem, 129-6-0; peg out 97 S Yorks
Brian Sullivan fished short pole with soft paste over hemp and pellet to net carp up to 10lbs and claim second place on the day with 129-6-0.
3 G Westwater, MAP Leegem, 112-12-0; peg out 15 Derbys
Graham Westwater finished third with another ton plus net of carp all caught on a short pole line using meat and pellet.
