The most prestigious match of the weekend took place at Barston Lakes where 43 anglers fished off for the Barston Masters crown.

It was a close frame with less than 2lb separating second, third and fourth spots, Jamie Harrison taking the runner’s up money thanks to a 37-7-0 bag, taken on the feeder in cold conditions from peg 26.

However, well out in front with 50-2-0 was Martin Eddis, who drew peg 50 at the Solihull venue where he fished pole and caster for a bag of skimmers and bream.
