After a very successful England Veterans trial held at the prolific Packington Somers Fisheries, Coventry on 9th September the England International Management are pleased to announce the England Veterans Coarse Angling team who will be competing in the FIPSed Veterans World Championships in Serbia in 2017.
The trial was fished on Molands Mere on the 50s to FIPSed International rules over 4 hours. Everyone fished the same, balling 10 balls with bloodworm and joker and groundbait on waggler at 35 metres. It was a slow start to begin with, but everyone caught well in the later stages of the trial. Mark Harper on the day had the top weight with 39lbs in 4 hours.
Joe Roberts, England Veterans Manager said “This year I have decided to make one change to the team which have won gold medals over the last two years by leaving Roger Marlow out of the squad who has been involved for several years, and bringing Mark Harper in after a very successful trial. Roger has played a major part in Team England’s success over the last two years so we would like to thank him for all his hard work and look forward to seeing him take part in future England trials.”
