A new 10-team event being held on the Warwickshire Avon at Evesham will decide who will represent England at the World Club Championship.

Previously the Division One National winners flew the flag, but with only one gold medal to England’s name in the entire history of the World Club Champs, the Angling Trust has decided on a new format.
The new teams-of-six Preston Innovations Classic is booked for the weekend of September 25th and 26th.
The competition, with bloodworm and joker allowed, will see the top 10 Division One National teams competing for four hours over two days. Dick Clegg, the AT’s International Events Director, said: “This will be a real test for the 10 teams of six anglers involved and I expect it to be a interesting and challenging two days.”
Spectators are welcome to watch the proceedings, with parking and refreshments available at Hampton Ferry in Boat Lane, Evesham. The matches will take in the pegs on the Crown Meadow and Hampton Ferry.
