Forty-eight anglers fished Sundays’ RiverFest Qualifier on the River Yare. With a big tide forecast and big weights of bream being caught during the festival leading up to the event, most were resting their hopes on the feeder.

A Zone winner was Gary Fuller, who drew peg 67 on the Boards section and caught bream on the tip to 5lb for a winning weight of 41lbs 10oz.

In B zone it was Steve Clarke that ran away with qualification from fancied peg 95. Steve put together 36lb 10oz in the five hours of bream and skimmers.

Steve Mayer netted 28lb 8oz of bream and skimmers from peg 126, just beating Richard Watson 28lbs 6oz from the next peg 127 and taking the final qualification spot.
The ever-consistent James Dent rounded out the top five with 27lbs 4oz from peg 111.

The Angling Trust would like to thank Andy Wilson- Sutter and the team on the Yare for a cracking qualifier.
