A peg to peg battle between Browning Ossett team mates, Chris Greensides and Ben Taylor eventually saw Chris edge in front by just 10oz and book his place in the big money November final on the Severn at Shrewsbury.

The two anglers were pegged on the Viaducts section and both pole fished with maggots over groundbait. Chris weighed 18-14-0 of roach and perch. Ben just missed out on a final place but finished runner up with 18-4-0.

Steve Lowther maintained his excellent form and won the Earth Centre zone with 10-9-0 and
Steve Whitfield won the Sprotbrough zone with 13-2-0.
