REPORT

MOLANDS Natural baits are working best with caster or maggot fished shallow catching plenty of F1s to 5lb and later in the day, carp to double figures. Bomb or waggler and pellet or method feeder tight across to the island are also working well. Best pegs have been 2, 10 – 15, 21 – 25, 29 – 31, 41 – 46 and 52.

GEARYS A very up and down week with Gearys fishing well one day and terrible the next. When it was fishing well, bomb and pellet or method feeder accounted for carp with fish to high double figures featuring in nets to 100lb. On the more difficult days, cage feeder with dead reds and ground bait was the best tactic.

LITTLE GEARYS In good form last week with lots of 100lb catches and really good back up weights. Caster shallow is the outstanding tactic but maggot or corn fished down the edges have also been catching lots of fish, particularly carp and there were a lot of doubles caught last week.

GRATUITIES Plenty of skimmers, crucians, roach and perch being caught on caster or maggot fished down the middle. The carp are coming to waggler or bomb with big pellet/corn fished tight to the island or down the margins on paste or corn.

SIBLINGS A It has been a little tougher on Siblings A this week with the F1s switching off but carp, skimmers, ide and the odd tench are being caught. Shallow caster or pellet is the top tactic fished down the middle of the pool.

SIBLINGS B Fished really well with weights to 90lb and consistent sport on all pegs. F1s are providing the main action but carp, skimmers and ide are also being caught. Pellet, paste or maggot have all been the best baits.

WILLOW In really good form at the moment with lots of carp and F1s around the 3lb mark coming out along with a few larger carp to double figures and crucians to 2lb. Corn, paste or pellet fished shallow on the pole or a feeder to the island have been the best tactics.
