A MIDLANDS company is launching the first UK internet only angling television channel.

 

Fishing4Leisure.com is a subscription channel based around showing viewers coarse, sea and game angling venue footage mainly from around the British Isles.

 

Viewers are treated to five minute videos of the fishery introduced by a presenter, alongside venue and permit information and footage of recommended nearby accommodation.

 

Venues are located by clicking on a map of the British Isles and those already online

include The Glebe, Packington Somers, Meadowlands Fishery, Fisherwick Lakes, Heathcote Lake Trout Fishery, BWB Makin Fishery, The Riddings and Weston Lawns.

 

Site members can also submit their catches and chat to fellow members in a forum or chatroom.

 

Total-Fishing.com members interested in having a look can do so free of charge on a special preview day on April 22nd only (this Saturday, by logging in with the username ‘club’ and the password ‘fish’

 

www.fishing4leisure.com went on line on April 21st with hundreds of TV programmes covering many of the best fishing destinations in the UK and Ireland. Fronted by Sky Travel presenter and keen fisherman Bill Dod, the channel also features overseas programmes, sea-fishing programmes and special feature programmes on how to fish, the bait to use, the tackle and the techniques for coarse, game and sea anglers everywhere.

 

Bill Dod, says: “We’ve waited a long time for a channel of our own and the Internet is a great place to host it.  On the Internet, you get to choose what you want to watch and when you want to watch it.”

 

Some of The Fishing Channel is free to access but viewing most of the TV programmes is subscription-based, which means that to access all the programmes and information you must become a member.
