Hall Publishing Ltd launched is latest angling magazine, Irish Angler, in Northern and Southern Ireland on 16th April. 
Ireland only has two existing fishing magazines and, with over 150,000 Irish anglers and 84,000 angling visitors a year, the market has huge potential for this new title.  Irish Angler is distributed by MMC and the launch will be supported by a strong PR campaign including radio and press coverage and direct mailings to over 50,000 known game anglers. 

DHP Ltd already publishes eight consumer angling titles and therefore has extensive experience of the angling market; knowledge which has been put to good use in the production of Irish Angler.  The publication, which will cost €4.25/£2.75, covers all three fishing disciplines – coarse, sea and game, and is dedicated to Irish waters and Irish anglers.  Published monthly, Irish Angler will be instructional and focus on ‘live fishing’ features as will be getting the best Irish angler’s to reveal their hints and tips to exclusively to our readers. 

As a further incentive the first issue will really attract attention with an exclusive cover mounted tackle box worth €5/£3and over €5,000/£3,000 worth of reader prizes. 

Marketing Director of DHP Simon McKeown said ‘We have felt for a long time that the Irish angling market, because of its size, deserved its own quality magazine and we feel Irish Angler will satisfy  this need. Irish Angler will deliver all Irelands army of a fisherman the information they require every month .’ 

The launch issue (cover dated May) of Irish Angler will be on sale 16th April in the Republic and Northern Ireland only. Subsequent issues will be on sale the second Friday of the month starting with the June issue on sale 14th May.
