The Fish O Mania XXI grand final will cast off tomorrow, Saturday 12th July, at Cudmore Fisheries at Whitmore. The FA Cup of fishing features weigh-ins every 30 minutes and an ever changing leaderboard to keep fishing enthusiasts on the edge of their seats. 16 finalists will compete over five hours and 2013 winner Jamie Hughes is back to defend his title.

Hughes qualified with 133lbs 7oz and is going into the final as Boylesports 11/2 favourite. Angling coach, Kieron Rich, is Hughes’ biggest threat at 7/1, having secured a whopping 277lbs 1oz at Bradford Lakes. Steve Cooke and Perry stone are next in the betting with both installed at 8/1. Woodlands View Fishery winner Andy Power can be backed at 10/1 alongside Andy Geldart. Alan Bruce is on offer at 12/1 to tackle the rest of the finalists and come out on carp.

Further down in the betting is Wrighting, Dicks, Burley and Brydon all on 14/1, Bull, Rumble, King and Cooke all share the same price at 16/1, with Ashley Price at 20/1 who doesn’t look likely to be basking in any glory.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive at Boylesports, commented “The Fish O Mania event is a great day where we get to see Britain’s best anglers in action. Defending champion Jamie Hughes is the big fish at 11/2 to retain his title.”

She added “Kieron Rich blew everyone out of the water with his 277lbs 1oz win at Bradford Lakes and is 7/1 to be the Trumpeter.”
