Japanese angler Shin Kaneko needed 10 minutes to subdue a potential record buri (Japanese amberjack) (Seriola quinqueradiata) he caught while jigging off Iki, Japan with Capt. Motoshi Kaneko.

Back at the docks, Kaneko’s buri tipped the scales at 20.18 kg (44 lb 8 oz) – heavy enough to claim the men’s 24 kg (50 lb) line class record, which is currently vacant.
