May 3rd-6th, 2010

Ultima consultant Ian Kitson and Irish Bait farms Lee Symonds are organising a brand new angling festival at Killeshandra in County Cavan, Southern Ireland.
The lengths to be used haven’t been finalised, but Eonish Lodge. Killykeen forest park, Rockfield Lake, Glasshouse Lake and Town Lake in Killeshandra are all in the frame, depending on how the fishing goes early in the season. One of the beauties of this area is that there shouldn’t be any backbreaking long walks.

The Shamrock Inn, where registration takes place on Sunday May 2nd, is putting up a decent cash prize, and there will be tackle from Ultima to be won. You will have to be quickish though as it’s not a massive festival – only around 40 places are available.
This is in addition to the Killeshandra Festival of the lakes which takes place at the end of May/beginning of June.
