REPORT
Match 17 (Jubilee Cup) was cancelled due to dangerous conditions and we wait to see whether it will be re-arranged and whether points from it will be counted.
Match 18 for the Last Bash Trophy went ahead as scheduled, and there was a good turnout on Peninsular Lake at Blake Hall, a very pleasant fishery.
Anglers needed the excellent breakfast, as strong winds blowing onto the dam wall (pegs 40 to 50) were quite unpleasant to endure, although it was the best area for good sport.  Carp and bream (to 3 lbs) showed in that area, and although carp and barbel to 3 lb showed in the shallower higher numbers, due to lack of ‘skimmers’ in that area many struggled.
Malc Munn continued his excellent current form with another superb performance to win the match from peg 41 with 24 lb 8 oz.  Malc caught several small carp to 2 lbs on feeder and maggot and added a good carp of around 6 lb in weight on the pole to seal victory.
On the next peg (40), Dave Cotterill also fished feeder and maggot to catch a mixture of small carp and bream to take the runners up spot with 21 lb 2 oz, edging Carl Henrick (peg 46), who is battling it out near to the top of the 2009 Championship, into third place with 17 lb 8 oz.
Gary Hemmings (peg 55) took fourth with 14 lb 12 oz, Anthony White (peg 56) fifth with 14 lb 8 oz, Dave Kent (peg 43) sixth with 14 lb 4 oz.
The Championship Leader-board now reads: Paul Richardson 222; Carl Henrick 220; Malc Munn 205; Dave Kent 186; John Adamson and Brian Leafe each with 174; Mick Lager 161, Steve Wilcock 151; Jake Hemmings 143; Ivan Carrier 126.
