Match angler turned carp man Craig White has banked the sought after ‘Half Lin mirror from Vinnetrow Lake in Chichester at a whopping 54lb 8oz, smashing his personal best by over 13lb.

Craig used to fish for top match outfit Daiwa Dorking and represented Drennan Team England Youth, winning a bronze medal in Portugal in 1999.
But he’s certainly picked things up quickly in carp fishing, and has now banked 14 different fish from Vinnetrow since he started fishing there in March.
He fooled the Half Lin on a modified version of the multi rig using 25lb Jel-E-Wyre and a size 6 Grab A Gun Smoke hook with a 14mm homemade pop up.”Line choice was 15lb Gardner GR60 main line fished to a clear spot amongst weed at 90 yards.

The catch is reported in this month’s Carp News bulletin in the latest issue of The Carp Channel – free to view online, on smart phones, on tablets and on Samsung Smart TVs.
