The NFA Division Two National has been rescheduled after exceptional rainfall this summer. The match was originally scheduled for the River Trent on Saturday 1st September but flood conditions have forced this to change. In many cases dangerous conditions has meant no work has been carried out on pegs and accesses by the controlling clubs.

With the forecast for more rain in the coming weeks, the match has now been switched to the Foss Dyke and Worksop Canal. There should be six sections on the Foss Dyke and four on the Canal.

Mick Turner, Competitions Director for the NFA commented;
“This is not a decision that has been taken lightly, but it was felt that in the interests of safety, club workers, stewards and anglers it was a decision we had to take. The decision received full backing of the NFA Board. I hope anglers will understand that this is in the best interests of everyone.”

The headquarters for the event will be at Newark Showground. This had already been rearranged as Southwell Racecourse buildings and car park (the original HQ) was badly damaged in the earlier flooding.
