REPORT

MOLANDS Despite the very cold weather over the last week Molands has been fishing ok with nets of F1s to around the 50lb mark and fish are being caught from all areas. Maggot feeder or long pole and maggot has been the best tactic for F1s to 7lb. A few carp are being caught on bomb and bread with pegs from 43 – 46 giving the best chance of fish to double figures.

GEARYS Bomb and bread or boilies have accounted for a few carp to double figures but it has been the skimmer fishing that has been most consistent this week, particularly as it has warmed up a little at the weekend. Pole fished maggot or caster over ground bait has accounted for nets to 25lb with the high bank area on pegs 6 – 13 the most consistent.

LITTLE GEARYS Pegs from 7 – 13 and 25 – 29 have been best, particularly nets of F1s up to and around the 50lb mark. Maggot has been the top bait with maggot feeder or long pole and maggot on the deck working best. A few fish are coming to expander pellet fished over micros as well.

ANNIVERSARIES Still very patchy and pegs with plenty of open water have been best. Pole fished maggot or expander pellet over micros is catching F1s to 3lb and ide.

SIBLINGS A (Doughnut) The pegs around the aerator have been best on 15 – 20 with carp, F1s, ide and skimmers coming to punched bread, expander pellet or maggot. Fishing long to the island and dobbing baits has been the best tactic.

SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe) Still fishing hard due to the very clear water with nets of F1s and carp to 20lb best this week. Long pole or even a small waggler fished to the far bank with bread or maggot has worked best.
